    Default FAS/DPD "Colorless"

When doing the FAS/DPD test, what exactly does "colorless" mean ? When I add the powder I get the normal pink color, but then when I add the drops the color changes to a milky white, not clear.

So is white still considered a color and I need to keep going with the drops to get it clear ?

I have noticed that when my CH went over the 425 mark and my pH hits 7.8 that instead of the FAS/DPD test going clear that it would turn slightly cloudy with no pink, but not milky. Maybe a simular set of circumstances?

Could be similar, my CH is (i'm almost embarassed to say) over the 1000ppm mark. One of the symptoms of fill water being 400ppm, high evaporation rates, and not emptying the pool for 3 years now. PH also rises to 7.8 with having a SWC.
