Went on vacation, husband stayed home. Pool turned green. Husband thought he could add shock and 1/2 gal HTH Algaecide....I got home, agitated at him for screwing up crystal clear pool. Didn't fool with it for a couple weeks. I've added muriatic acid for the past couple days but ph is still way high. Am I going to have to drain this swamp or should I give the acid a couple more days to work. I haven't added any bleach because I figure its a waste of time until I get the ph down. Am I on the right track?
