We're swimming, too! The water temp has been between 85-89 degrees and wonderful sunny days. Gotta love that!!My oldest son is having friends over this afternoon for a BBQ and pool party.

geez, we'd LOVE some rain!! Air temps in the low 100s now for two weeks, in the mid80's at night, and it hasn't rained in at least 3 weeks, with none predicted for at least another week!! Water temp in the pool is 97 degrees in the late mornings, and we're running the slide anytime the kids are in it to keep it from feeling like a hot tub. I've had a pool full of kids ALL week, am looking forward to some of them going home this evening when my parents come over for a late Mother's/Father's Day barbecue!!
Doin' the rain dance........

Wow! Water was 86 today and it didn't even sprinkle. We've had rain, rain, and more rain for months--it has been the worst Spring I remember in a long time--since the equally weird "Big Eddy" of ...2002(?).
Be careful what you wish for Jan! BTW, if you have solar panels you should run them all night to cool the pool--from dusk until the sun hits them. They work just as well in reverse, you know.

I don't have solar panels (in Lousiana?? who needs them???) but I am running the pump at night to help cool it as much as I can.
Water went out last night and was still off until noonish today, and is only on now with a low pressure, muddy stream with lots of air spitting in the lines. We're told that the wells that supply my community's water system are about empty due to the long weeks without rain and the massive amount of gas well drilling that's going on around us, and that the water supply is in real jeopardy if we don't get some rain soon. Fortunately the pasture across the street where my horses are is supplied by a well, and we have a water cooler in the house with a pretty well stocked water bottle supply, but don't know exactly how I'm gonna keep my pool level up so the pump can keep running--I'm losing 1-2 inches daily to evaporation.
