backwash water goes into pool

That is what I am concerned about, too. Even when they think they have the water coming out the backwash hose looking clean, I'm afraid they will still get a blast of sand back into the pool. Maybe call the filter manufacturer and ask them about this problem?

I was thinking maybe it would help to wait 20-30 minutes to let everything settle down inside the filter before turning the pump back on. I don't know... I will ask the pool guy and let you know what he says. Thanks!
