OK:

If your local stores have Arm&Hammer WASHING Soda (not baking soda) in the yellow box, you can use that instead of the Borax and Baking soda.

Washing Soda is Soda Ash, same stuff pool stores sell to raise pH, and raises both pH AND T/A at the same time.

I would strongly advise against Tri-chlor pucks as they are extremely acidic and will offset the Washing Soda (or Borax). If your pH was 7.8, I'd say go ahead, but not if it's 7.0.

Instead, just get CYA powder or, if they have it and you want to spend the money, the new liquid CYA (raises CYA much faster than powder). Then use bleach for chlorine.
